Map to the Middle: Indianapolis was a companion campaign to The Middle: Indianapolis. We collaborated with CBS4 & FOX59 to help viewers navigate real-life next steps after The Middle by offering actionable resources, like career pathways, training opportunities, and local support programs. This 30-minute TV show led into CBS’s Face The nation and placed first in its time slot.

The Middle: Indianapolis
The Middle: Indianapolis is a documentary that I worked on from 2016-2022. It explores how the city’s economy is shifting from manufacturing to tech, highlighting local programs helping people upskill into sustainable careers. The film served as a grounded case study of how cities can support and grow the middle class through community partnerships and workforce development. It’s combined reach exceeded 5 million views in its debut month, 2.7 million video views, and 1 million plays on Facebook, and was covered by both CBS4 & Fox59.
The majority of the documentary was shot in 2019, during which I led teams on multiple shoots in Indy. As Co-Producer, I managed all aspects of production - from pre-interviews and field logistics to guiding the final edit. I collaborated closely with local partners and community leaders to shape an authentic narrative, and I oversaw crew logistics and post-production.
When we released The Middle, we published it in a digital magazine called Inquire Within, alongside several further pieces of content that we had leftover from our shoots in Indy. I produced these short-form stories, offering deeper, character-driven insights into local individuals and organizations working to rebuild the middle class in Indy. They served as accessible entry points into broader systemic themes explored in the long-form documentary.
